Boutique  Hotel 2023

Software: Revit
This conceptual boutique hotel in New York City integrates biophilic design to create a serene retreat within the urban landscape.

My approach to biophilic design focuses on creating a sensory connection to nature through water, light, and spatial experience. Instead of making water an obvious element, I designed it as a layered presence, subtly influencing the atmosphere.

A suspended water plane between the first and second floors allows guests to experience it differently—those on the first floor cannot see it directly, but they witness its dynamic reflections on the ceiling, evoking a tranquil, ever-changing ambiance. On the second floor, an opening reveals the water, offering a direct visual and experiential connection.

This design enhances nature’s presence without overwhelming the space, creating a calming, immersive experience that reflects the fluidity and adaptability of water. By integrating light, movement, and indirect visibility, the hotel fosters a sense of tranquility and connection, encouraging guests to slow down and engage with their surroundings in a subtle yet impactful way.
